I thought it would be appropriate to start this Easter post with a scripture related to this beautiful holiday. And then I couldn’t decide on one. Then I changed tactics and tried to find an awesome Easter quote…the search became absolutely hopeless. So, alas, you have to settle for honesty instead.

Our quarantined Easter was lovely. Different but really nice. Flowers are out to prove it’s spring. Eggs were decorated and hunted. Everyone got a special present in their Easter basket, hand selected just for them. Copious, ridiculous amounts of candy were consumed. Bunny Bread was lunched upon with a vengeance. We ended up with leftover ham for days, because it goes a lot farther among six people, not 15+. Tatanka volunteered to take one for the team and dispose of the ham bone. Naomi headed up the dessert effort and made a gorgeous strawberry shortcake. Oh, yes. We also celebrated and acknowledged the amazing gifts that are our Savior’s love and atonement. Our Sunday Easter program made me cry as I reflected on how much my life revolves around His gospel and the plan that provides for an eternity with my favorite human beings. I hope your Easter gave you time to reflect and be grateful for the beautiful adventure that is life. And be grateful for the one who makes it all possible.
