Karate

Ready for a super short post filled with mediocre pictures? Oh good. Glad we have our expectations accurately set. Zooming in from across the gym does not make for high photo quality. Sorry.
Corra has found her happy place. It’s in her karate gi burning energy at the place she used to take gymnastics (the karate school used to have a building for classes until the roof suffered water damage. They now hold class in the gymnastics gym and it’s actually a great arrangement). Karate is more her speed and at the end of July we will hit the one year mark. She’s still going strong and talking about the day when she earns her black belt. I thought gymnastics was a great fit until I got to watch her learning martial arts…this is even better. She just earned her yellow belt and if I have this right she’ll go through blue, green, purple, red, brown, black with each level getting harder and requiring more. We enjoy watching their demonstrations at the belt ceremonies and she loves showing off her moves. Thinking there are many more of these in our future.
