[Sorry for the interruption and the radio silence for the last few weeks. Labor Day weekend Neil ended up resigning from his job and Saturday night I was a little distracted. Last Saturday I had just driven in from Orlando and was doing well to be speaking coherently…forget writing well. But now we are back and settled and even know what work will be looking like moving forward. We couldn’t be more excited about our new chapter, and that’s a story for another blog post.]

Once upon a time a baby girl was born. She was her brother’s Yeomi and he made sure she knew he was a race car driver. Over time she grew into a princess and a fairy and even a candy-eating witch at one point. She was bald for a really long time, and it only added to her charm.

Eventually she grew into a beautiful young lady with a penchant for high heels (high heel boots are even better), dangling earrings, and all things panda. She loves the Lord and serving in His kingdom. To celebrate graduating from childhood, she and her mother went on an adventure. The first stop was eating at a restaurant she had been pining over for the last 8-ish years. She and her mother knew that it was meant to be when she discovered a panda stuffie to add to her collection. She vanquished a massive cheeseburger and settled into her beautiful hotel room.

When at last they arrived home, there was no rest for the weary young lady…she had a cake to put together. To call her a bookworm would be an insult…no, no…this girl is a bookdragon and so her masterpiece birthday cake was a reflection of that love. It was a citrus cherry cake made to look like a stack of books. Then the presents and it was official. She was now thirteen.

Making her mother a better woman, loving her sisters, spontaneously hugging her dad, and always calling her brother on his shenanigans the girl continued to prove what a vital role she was playing in her family and would ultimately play in the world. Her family loved her deeply and was eager to see what other adventures would come her way.
