Some last minute tidying up around the blog tonight. I can’t for the life of me remember (and I frankly can’t be bothered to check) which of these adventures I’ve posted about since August. Our homeschool class with our friends who also have Down Syndrome continues to be a complicated joy. Corra has come on occasion, and it too continues to be a complicated situation for her. We are both learning to navigate it all. Layna is also learning to navigate social when she doesn’t want to be social and all those fun things like sharing the spotlight and letting others answer questions. It looked different this year with all of the moms taking turns covering classes instead of me running all of them and that has been wonderful. In fact the timing on that couldn’t have be better…I had plenty on my plate this semester and was happy to share the load. The other moms are truly delightful and I’m pretty sure we have more fun than our kids. We usually hold our classes at GiGi’s Playhouse in Raleigh and the new facilities are awesome. The kids mostly love the gym and kitchen: dancing, fort building and yoga…food. Naturally.

P.s. My buddy Nate (wearing the red shirt) didn’t want to be left out of the selfie fun at our last class and Christmas party. So I happily obliged. He was, however, disappointed that I missed taking pictures of all his flexed muscle poses. He’s really interested in weight lifting and didn’t want anyone to miss the gun show. Nate might be one of my favorite people ever.
