I think that even after all of my kids are in school, we will always be a home school family at heart. And if there is one thing that home school families excel at…it’s field trips. Months ago I floated the idea of going to the Zoo together as a family over spring break and it made my home school mom heart so happy when my even my big kids enthusiastically expressed a desire to go. We loaded the wagon and a fabulous lunch and we headed to the zoo.

First off, everyone should have an adventure buddy. Always stay with your adventure buddy!
I love having kids that are old enough for the educational activity (especially with their Dad fully on board to make the completion prize a reality) but not too cool for it. Check mark for a lovely day of school.
Lunch was delicious.
We loved the tram to get from one end of the zoo to the other and ending the day with frozen lemonade (just like we had at Walt Disney World) was the perfect cherry on top.

Every time I go on an adventure with my tribe I’m reminded of how much fun we have and how much I like these little (and not so little) humans. It makes me look forward to our Denmark trip all the more.
