Hi Friend. How are you? I’m so glad. How am I? Well, it’s been a minute hasn’t it? We are back on the proper side of The Pond, and wouldn’t you know? We went and brought back an exotic Danish cold bug that is making the rounds and currently kicking my trash. But. I will dust off my laptop. I will crack my disused fingers and start to catch you up on all the things.
I do feel like my nose is 3 sizes bigger than it ought to be. I do feel slightly roasted from our beach day today. I do feel like I should prop my eyelids open with toothpicks. I’ll stop. Ahem. So in light of the above I’m doing easy catch up stuff today…end of school business. Two awards ceremonies and a theater club induction.
First Naomi was inducted to a national theater club. It was fun and she’s excited about future theater adventures. And can I just say, I love that my girl can rock a red dress?!
Then both my big ones got awards for straight A’s and…even cooler…they each were given the “Integrity” Award. Their school has values and each grade gives awards to the kids who best exemplify each value. Garyn also found out he was Salutatorian. We were so proud of our kids and the statement that those awards make about who they are when they are out on their own.

As for my little girls…Our home school year ended quietly. We did better than limp across the finish line but not by a whole lot. I didn’t even take pictures. Sigh. I’m trying not to be sad about that as it is the end of homeschooling for us period. I’m reminding myself that I couldn’t do everything and what I did do was good. And enough. My husband helps me a lot with that internal monologue control.
