This post is two days late because two days ago I was schlepping stuff up to a 3rd floor dorm room. Right now I’m in Colby, KS and my remaining children are watching dumb hotel TV. But come with me back almost exactly a month to the focal point of our first European excursion.
We went to Denmark first and foremost because of this:

That face. That kind of raw joy. Worth every penny and second.

The way our schedule worked out we went to Legohouse first. Brief overview for you non-Lego fanatic types. There are multiple Legoland’s all over the world. We’ve been to the one in Florida, for example. LegoHouse, however only exists in Billund, Denmark. It’s part museum, part building lab(s), with a big dose of playground and shop thrown in. Oh and a super cool resturant. I could talk for days about this maybe-my-favorite-place-we’ve-ever-been Lego mecca. I won’t…I’ll just show you a brief spattering of my favorite pictures.

Legoland is much more traditional amusement park. We managed to do mostly everything that everyone wanted plus some shopping and churros.
