For anyone who has read “Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” you know that 42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything. Understandably, that made Neil’s most recent birthday a biggish one. While he may not be everyone’s answer…he is absolutely my life, my universe, and my everything. We are coming up on 20 years of marriage and if you think that we are disgustingly romance right now…just wait till the end of 20 more years of falling in love.
To celebrate this stud, we went to dinner. Well not dinner. Dessert. By the time Naomi was done with rehearsal and we left the house it was late-ish. But there was cheesecake, which is basically a meal.

I gave our girls my best present ideas and he requested an Oreo cake. I don’t even know what that is…so my take was chocolate cake with Oreo buttercream and crushed Oreos on top. It was fabulous, even if it wasn’t an actual Oreo cake (whatever that is).

Wait! What rehearsal?! Naomi, our resident theater child, was in her school’s spring musical: “The Addams Family”. She played the Medieval Ancestor and had a blast doing so. Corra can’t wait to audition for the plays next year. Naomi is planning one heck of a junior year (AP classes, College classes, volunteering at our neighborhood zoo, continuing with seminary…) so we will see if school plays make the cut in her schedule.
