Weird phenomena out here in North Carolina in our charter school: Spring Break includes the usual week plus the following Monday. So while this post is a re-cap of our past week of Spring Breaking…we won’t actually be back to school until Tuesday. We’ve made the most of our brief respite from the rigors of academic study. There was a long over due library trip. A temple trip, a zoo trip to a zoo we’ve been waiting on to open for years. Zoo trips are better with friends. There was a trip to our favorite hair stylist and a trip to our friend at the Walmart vision center. As an aside: I love her. She has been helping Layna with glasses since Layna started wearing glasses and there is just something so kind and chill about her personality. We don’t even know her name but she is one of those people who I’m glad to know is just out in the world.

All of our trips were great successes and I think feeding the budgies in the budgie house was top of the list.
