On our anniversary we picked up the rental car that Neil would then drive across country to pick up our son. The plan was to get a smallish SUV…aaaannndddd…They only had a mini-van. As you will see, this was a huge blessing. The day after our anniversary Neil left at 5 am then drove to Provo in two days. Because he is a driving machine. Adventure happened and boom! they made it home early enough to surprise our girls.
They got home one Monday and I’m happy to report that in between all the real life that is still happening…we have our front room back. It kind of exploded with all the stuff that was in the back of the rental. The boy got to work and packed it up properly.
We have managed to squeeze in some “reconnecting” fun. Monday we get back to whatever this normal is going to be for the next two weeks before Garyn becomes a missionary and starts Home MTC. Then things go kind of nuts because it’s the last week of school and then Garyn leaves for two years the start of the following week. Obviously, there will be posts. Many posts.
