It’s time for a puppy update! They will be 8 months old in two days. What a ride it’s been. We’ve made it through discovering that if you hold a toad in your mouth you’ll end up with a nasty foam spilling out of your mouth. We survived two separate surgeries to fix them. We completed puppy behavior classes with a handful of commands learned and are starting a new training program. Josh is my shadow…he just wants to be around his people which is mostly me. Sequoia has no idea how tiny she is…She will happily bark/stare down moving pickup trucks. Josh has anxiety about the vet from a bad emergency overnight stay at a clinic. Sequoia has sass enough for 7 dogs but makes up for it with kisses. Both of them love babies. And chewing pig ears and goat bones. Josh is a master of total relaxation and is teaching Sherlock how to properly let go over every care. Sequoia lives for chasing tennis balls and is perfecting her mid-air catch.
Sorry if some of these pictures are a repeat…they’re so cute I figure you’ll forgive me. These pictures span the last few months…can you even believe how much they’ve grown?!

As you may have noticed…Mycroft wins the “Most Tolerant Cat on the Planet” award for being an excellent puppy adopted brother. Sherlock is less chill but still, all four baby mammals co-habitate admirably.
They have stressed me out more than I’d like to admit and two really is more than twice the work. But I can’t imagine not having them both and we are making such good progress towards the delightful dogs they will be. It will be so worth the focus and the work right now.
