Two weekends in a row now we’ve had “inclement weather.” That means two weeks of canceled church meetings and other cancled church events and of course Snow Days from school. Last week my girls did remote school stuff Monday and Tuesday with a late start Wednesday. Who knows what this week will look like…Last weekend was all ice. The yard was solid and when the puppies ran around the yard they sounded like galloping horses. They loved it! Last night we got almost 4 inches of perfect snow angel powder. There was concern that we wouldn’t get enough to be fun (the forecast was quite a rollercoaster) but we did. The sky came through. And the puppies love it! I’m starting on a cold so now that we’ve played and I got pictures…I’m going to finish this then then go curl up on the couch with a blanket because all my tiny mammals have worn themselves out and the house is that perfect quiet you get when there is snow outside.

We will do church at home today and welcome February in with another peaceful day lounging around the house. I still get anxious when I don’t have anything going on but not feeling good helps me actually enjoy a snow day as I should. Like a slug and a sloth and a hibernating polar bear all rolled into one.
